Tuition & Fees
Immediate payment is required for Winter Term registration or you will be canceled and blocked from future registration. Winter Term registrations are sent notification regarding this obligation, via the e-mail of record, following any add/drop activity.

*Please Note: Notwithstanding any other provision of this or any other University publication, the University reserves the right to make changes in tuition, fees and other charges at any time such changes are deemed necessary by the University and the University System of Maryland Board of Regents. Although changes in tuition, fees and charges ordinarily will be announced in advance, the University reserves the right to make such changes without prior announcement.
Mandatory Service Fee

In addition to the per credit hour fee, undergraduate and graduate students are charged the mandatory service fee. Mandatory fees pay for winter support services including campus facilities use and maintenance, health services, campus-wide technology services, student registration services, recreation center, shuttle bus, libraries, police, computer labs, writing language labs, and disability support services.
Materials/Lab/Special Course Fee
Some departments charge an additional fee for specific classes, such as those with science or computer labs, photography labs, art supplies, or similar costs. Courses with special or additional fees should be noted in the Online Schedule of Classes.

Record Adjustment Fee

Schedule adjustment requests after the end of Winter Term require a formal Exception to Academic Policy Appeal Request.

- All such appeal requests will incur a $100.00 Record Adjustment fee. This includes all requests for registration and/or withdrawal.
Determination of Residency Status for Admission and Tuition
Residency determinations are made according to the Board of Regents Policy on Student Residency Classification.

Property Damage Charges:
Students will be charged for damage to property or equipment. Where responsibility for the damage can be fixed, the individual student will be billed for it; where responsibility cannot be fixed, the cost of repairing the damage will be pro-rated among the individuals involved.
