Spring Advising Information

SPRING 2010 Class Registration December 9

Freshmen Connection students will be able to register for spring 2010 classes on Wednesday, December 9th after 12:00 noon. Mark your calendar!

Before registering, you will need to follow the instructions of your spring advising college and make sure that you don't have any blocks on your record. Information on your spring advising session, blocks and additional registration tips will be sent out via the FC Listserv soon.

Your major determines your spring advising college. Don’t forget - the deadline to declare/change your major during the fall semester is November 16th!

Are you unsure about what your official major is for spring 2010?

  • Use Degree Navigator to find out.

Degree Navigator:

  1. Visit the Portal: my.umd.edu
    • Click on the Academics & Testudo Tab
    • At the bottom of the page, click on the Degree Navigator (audit) link.
    • Click on Welcome to Degree Navigator at the bottom of the next page/window.

  2. Logon: use your directory ID and password.
  3. Your major is listed on the right hand side of the page in white hyperlinks under your name.
    • Click on the link to display all of the requirements for your major.

Please note: If you recently submitted a change of major form, Degree Navigator can take up to two weeks to show your new major.
